Shania Twain
SHANIA REACHES ELEVEN!
Shania Twain's current album, "Come On Over" is certified for U.S. sales of 11 million units, which equals the sales success of her previous release, "The Woman In Me". Twain is the first female artist to reach the 11 million mark with TWO SOLO RELEASES. Twain is also of course the first country female ever to accomplish this feat.

In fact, only two other women have ever reached the 11 million mark or above with solo efforts -- Alanis Morissette, whose American debut album, "Jagged Little Pill", stands at 16 million, and Whitney Houston, whose self-titled debut is at 12 million. (The Bodyguard, although mostly credited to Whitney is not considered a solo project by her). .

This makes Shania the only female recording artist in history to accomplish such a feat with back to back albums -- her 1995 release, The Woman In Me, was recently certified 11 times platinum.
